How can we help?

Common questions about buying, selling, bidding, and getting an animal home.

Placeholder answers

The questions are the ones buyers and sellers actually ask; the answers are generic and every highlighted figure is a stand-in. Confirm each one against how Rokin actually operates before launch — several of these (fees, bid extensions, who carries transit risk) also need to match the Terms of Service.

Buying

How do I know a bull is what the listing says it is?

Every listing carries video of the animal working, its pedigree, ABBI registration where applicable, health certifications, and the seller's completed-sale history. Sellers are verified before they can list. If something material is missing, ask through the listing before you bid.

Can I inspect a bull in person before buying?

Yes. Contact the seller through the listing to arrange a visit. We recommend it for any purchase where you are not already familiar with the ranch or the bloodline.

What happens after I win an auction or buy outright?

You pay through Rokin, and the funds are held rather than passed straight to the seller. You then arrange transport, and payment releases to the seller only once you confirm the animal arrived as described.

What if the bull is not as described when it arrives?

Do not confirm delivery. Contact support through the transaction while the payment is still held, and we will work with both sides to resolve it.

Selling

What does it cost to list a bull?

Listing is [free / $X]. Rokin charges [a seller's commission of X%] on a completed sale, and buyers pay a buyer's premium. See how buying works for a worked example.

How do I get my ranch verified?

Verification confirms you are who you say you are and that you have the right to sell the animals you list. Start by emailing [sellers@rokin.org] with [the documents we require].

What makes a listing sell?

Good video, in daylight, showing the animal actually working — landscape, 30–60 seconds. Beyond that: a complete pedigree, honest performance numbers, and current health paperwork. Listings missing video get materially less attention.

When do I get paid?

Payment releases once the buyer confirms delivery. If a buyer does not confirm and does not raise a problem, funds release automatically after [X days].

Auctions & bidding

What is the difference between a live and a timed auction?

A live auction runs in real time on a set date, with a ring and an auctioneer, and you bid alongside the floor. A timed auction runs over several days and closes at a scheduled time, like an online listing with a deadline.

Can I bid if I cannot be there on sale day?

Yes. Set an absentee maximum and the system bids on your behalf up to that amount, in the normal increments, and no further. You are not committed to the maximum — only to whatever it takes to stay in front.

Is a bid binding?

Yes. A bid is a binding offer to buy at that price. If it is the winning bid you are committed to complete the purchase. Do not bid on an animal you are not prepared to buy.

What happens if bids come in right at the close?

A bid placed in the final [X minutes] extends the close by [X minutes], so a lot cannot be won by sniping the last second.

Account & payments

Do I need an account to browse?

No. Listings, catalogues, and sale information are open to everyone. You need an account to bid, buy, sell, or message another user.

What payment methods do you accept?

[Payment methods]. At the values involved, bank transfer is usually the practical option; card limits are rarely high enough for a full purchase.

How do I reset my password?

Use the reset link on the sign-in page and follow the email. If it does not arrive, check spam before contacting support.

How do I close my account?

Email [support@rokin.org] from the address on the account. We keep certain transaction records after closure where the law requires it — see the Privacy Policy.

Transport & delivery

Does Rokin arrange transport?

[Describe: we arrange it / we introduce vetted haulers / the buyer arranges it]. Transport is quoted separately from the purchase price and depends on distance.

Who is responsible for the animal in transit?

[State where risk passes — on collection, or on delivery.] This is worth settling in writing with the seller before the animal moves.

What paperwork travels with the bull?

Health certification, registration papers, and any test results referenced in the listing. Requirements differ by state — check the destination state's rules before booking transport.
